The world didn’t end, so keep writing!

Happy end of the world! Oh wait … we’re still here… Oh, well, then, I guess I should finish wrapping my Christmas presents.

One cool thing that I’m going to be posting on my computer background for the New Year I found on K.M. Weiland’s web site Wordplay: Helping Writers Become AuthorsI enjoy following her blog, and I love her manifesto (which I’ve posted below). I think all writers should read this over, think about it, and do what it says.

You probably won’t hear a lot from me between Christmas and New Year’s, as I have a goal of finishing my third novel here sometime in January, and that won’t happen if I don’t have a few marathon days of writing during the break. Either way, enjoy your time with family and friends, and be thankful this holiday season. Also, make some time to write, especially if you don’t have to get up in the morning. Write during the night, when there is nothing on TV and no one to bug you on IM or Facebook. Turn all of that off, put in your headphones if need be, and write.

  1. Love that manifesto, and your simple advice to keep writing. Good luck with your novel, and congrats on the first two!
