Thought I would share the top blog posts of 2012, since I’ve been told it’s important to not only write posts, but to also analyze how those posts have done and what has worked to get readers to your blog. So here are the top posts from last year.
- Calvin and Hobbes: Always My Favorite (my love for Calvin and Hobbes is shared by others, obviously)
- Author Interview: Stacy Eaton
- Writing when you’re uninspired
- One year ago… (my post about my amazing husband on my anniversary)
- Quality in e-books: is it really so hard?
These were some of the more fun posts that I got to write this year, so I’m happy you enjoyed them.
How about the most commented blog posts? The goal of a blog is to get conversations going and connect with others, isn’t it?
- NaNoWriMo Winner!
- What is the proper price for an e-book?
- Writing when you’re uninspired
- Changing point of view to defy writer’s block
- Quality in e-books: is it really so hard?
Every year, you should set yourself some goals for your blog. My goal was to write two posts a week last year, and that didn’t happen. While failing to achieve your goal isn’t a happy occasion, it is a learning experience. Blogging takes time, thought and effort, and my goal this year is to put that time and effort into my blog. My goal this year is to write at least two blog posts per week (appearing Mondays, Wednesdays and/or Fridays on the world wide web). A secondary goal would be to get at least two comments (not counting my replies) on at least one-third of the posts that I write. I’m sure it’s a lofty goal, but I hope that the content I create is good enough to get there.
What are your goals for your blog?
